BE A PART OF THE 2014 LION's SANTA CLAUS PARADE!

There are several Christmas traditions in Clarenville and the annual Clarenville Lion's Santa Claus Parade is right at the top.

If you're new to Clarenville, a lifelong resident, or a kid or a kid at heart,  you should never miss out on the opportunity to take part in the annual Lion's Santa Claus Parade. This year's parade will be held on Saturday Dec. 6th. 2014.

Through the dedicated efforts of many volunteers in the Lions Club and participating organizations the parade creates a new set of memories each year.

BE A PART OF THE PARADE!

You have a couple of weeks to think about how you can be a part of the parade, build a float, or be a Mummer in it - try it.  (Details below)

I've included some notable parades from years past below as well.

Laying the final wreath is Comrade Gunner Arthur Inkpen, assisted by Comrade Sergeant Lucy Critch. Comrade Art is Branch 27’s oldest Veteran who served in multiple combat zones during World War Two. Comrade Art joined the 59th Newfoundland Regiment on 27 June 1940. He served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany as a Dispatch Rider with the 22nd Battery. He was discharged on 18 December 1945, having served for 5 and half years.

Comrade Lucy joined the Canadian Forces on 23 September 1983. She served in Canada’s North Pole, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and South East Asia as a Traffic Technician Loadmaster. She retired on 26 July 2006 after 23 years of service.
